Craig was born in the small rural town of Wairoa in New Zealand’s Hawkes Bay. Wairoa is positioned close to the Pacific Coast, surrounded by native bush and pristine coastline. These aspects strongly influenced his earlier art works.Craig left Wairoa to join the NZ navy, completed his chef training, taking numerous positions as a senior chef at many leading resorts, hotels and restaurants on the Gold Coast, Australia during his cheffing career.

Meanwhile, over these years he continued to create original and sought after art part-time, exhibiting in local galleries in Australia and back home in NZ.

Craig quickly became successful enough as an artist to leave cheffing and pursue his artistic career fulltime, where he feels his true niche is.

His artwork now reflects his love of the Australian and New Zealand landscape, beaches feature strongly, using colour which is both vivid and bold. This distinctive style of Craig’s artwork can now be viewed in many local, interstate and even select international galleries.

Craig’s natural artistic ability is not restricted only to painting, he has also successfully turned his hand to other mediums including, carving, sculpting and clay, always creating wonderful, original pieces.

Craig has also diversified his artistic talent into tattoo art, qualifying and now working as a Tattoo Artist, on the Gold Coast where he still lives and works, producing fine art for several galleries and private commissions.

Craig continues to develop this great passion for art. Being a keen surfer, avid diver and adventurer, Craig finds inspiration always in the beauty of the natural environment while camping, tramping and exploring. His artworks particularly features the ocean that he so loves.
